Goodyear plans to expand the production capacity of engineering tires by US $250million
according to Dow Jones, resources and power are more relaxed. Goodyear Tire Rubber Co., GT said on Wednesday that encouraged by demand growth, the company will invest US $250million to upgrade and expand equipment in a Japanese factory. Such modules will eventually be used in BMW's automobile manufacturing to improve the production capacity of large engineering tires suitable for road construction and mining
Goodyear recently purchased part of the equity of Nippon giant tire from its joint venture partners Toyo Tire Rubber Co. Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation, making NGT its wholly-owned subsidiary. After the expansion is completed in 2014, NGT will have a complete production line of 57 inch engineering tires, and may even produce 63 inch engineering tires to improve market competitiveness in the future
